Well there were a few spelling/grammer errors, and the triple-spacing between paragraphs of the formatting was weird, but aside from one or two things that could have been phrased better I think it works, it's just that there's a lot left unsaid right now that can make it difficult to form an attachment to the characters... in medias res (or however you spell it) can be an effective writing technique to jump right into the action with no screwing around but it can come off comfusing too...
