I mentioned a secret project of sorts in a journal, and here we are. Longing of Love is just the title I came up with for it but that may change later.
This was a collaboration between myself and two others. Mike, my dear friend who has been with me (mostly virtually) longer than anyone, presented the idea, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Most of the song is his work and editing. We started with a simple loop and, with several hours and some vodka, I came up with some notes on my flute, then separately another friend, Alex, added his own talents with bass/strings. Then Mike completed the piece into what we have here.

And whether you know it or not, the name you've chosen for the song... it's exactly right, but I think you knew that already.

Initial impression, about :30 in - Reminds me a lot of Cristofori's Dream. n.n
1:45 - Wish I still had my sax...
5:00 - That drumline almost sounds more "searching" than "longing"...
5:30 - Hey, that flute almost sounds indian.
6:30 - That flute definitely sounds indian.
7:00 - *grumble* Can't even hear the first and last :30...
Pretty nice overall.

Longing and searching, we often search for what we long. While the title is simple it has deep and particular meaning for the three of us..
That flute is definitely Native American.
The first and last 30 are very soft sounds of wind softly whispering, just relaxing sound effect.
