This is my monster baby! Kusko is a tiger reticulated python. Retics are the longest snakes in the WORLD! He's so sweet. I love him. <3

He's so sweet. Nicest snake I've ever handled! I even (I feel terrible about this. It almost made me cry! lol) accidentally whacked him in the head the other night and he just jerked back but didn't strike or even run. He just kinda shook it off and crawled back into my hands. <3
Me and my boyfriend got him. I'm already in college. ^^ I won't ever need to live in a dorm because my freshman year is done, his dad is paying for his apartment so he'd just get a two bedroom to keep him in when he's big. (But that will be a very long time from now) Plus he's built custom enclosures for retics before. :3
None at the moment, but we've owned snakes before. He has a savannah monitor also, and we're probably going to get a chameleon and some tree frogs. ^^

Oh goodness, I hope you know what you're getting into 8D;;; You're talking a snake that will need it's own ROOM, live over 20 years, and eat 20lb rabbits weekly to bi-weekly. Not to mention reaching over 100lbs and over 25 feet in length. And even if that's not for a few years, gotta always keep that stuff in mind 8C Wish you the best.
Yes ma'am. My boyfriend has built enclosures for full grown retics before. We already have a supplier for feeder rabbits, and even feeder goats if we ever need them. We're getting a two bedroom app just for the retic and we're hoping it get huge. :3
Thanks for the concern though.

I feel like it's prob a different AAA exotics. XD They JUST changed and it's locally owned. (Not a chain store so there are only two and only where I live) And yeah, they take pretty good care of the animals. The only thing I don't like is they keep snakes in the same cages sometimes, but it's not that big a deal because they sell them so quickly so they're never together for long.
Aaawww, what a cutie!
He looks so sweet.
We have a 5 year old ball python named Monty, he's just the sweetest! He has never snapped or bitten anyone and he only curls his head back when he feels threatened.
Kusko is such a beautiful snake! ._. Yay for gorgeous, friendly snakes! =3

Yeah, I'm waiting for him to bite me though. I don't trust snakes no matter how friendly they seem. XD
Especially one that is going to get as big as him. Getting tagged (And possibly constricted) by a 20 foot snake would NOT be good. I'm going to keep a bottle of high alcohol content mouth wash by his cage to pour on his face if he ever constricts me.

You shouldn't do it to any snake unless it's, "Pour alcohol on this snake or it kills me" though. It breaks their feeding response and really the only time a snake will constrict you is to feed. They don't constrict as a defense mechanism. So it really irritates them and is usually enough to get them to loosen up and release you. If it doesn't work (Rarely) you pretty much have to kill them though.
So the first rule is don't get bite constricted in the first place and if you do it's probably your fault/something you did, second rule is never handle a snake over ten feet alone. ^^ Once he gets to be really big (20+ feet) I'll always have someone else in the room while I'm feeding him/taking him out/general handling to make sure nothing happens. I don't think anything will though. He's so mild mannered, better safe than sorry though. <3
