It'll be easier if they can get the giant mouth to relax or focus on biting something else.
I imagine locking onto something could be a stress reflex as some form of defense....
I suppose they could always sedate the mawile enough to get the jaws to relax and release Jenny's tail.

knew a couple like this.
she dumped him after he got stabbed in the arm trying to break up two clashing protest goups, taken to the hospital where she worked...
and didn't tell her any of it.
on the plus side, he healed fine other then a small scar.
as for her, she dated a fireman for a few months after that but ended up marruing a banker.
