So, it's been a long while since I've posted any sort of stories on here. For those of you who came on here due to that, I do apologize for the lack of updates in that department. Part of the reason is because I haven't managed to finish any short stories in a manner which I was happy with and felt like sharing. The other reason, which is a much bigger part of it, is this: I'm writing my own fantasy novel right now!

The name is just a placeholder for now, but it'll be the first in a series of novels taking place in a fantasy world that's been in development for over a decade now. It's a world populated entirely by dragons without any sort of humans in sight, and the first book, without giving too much away, will star the titular dragon prince as he tries to become a suitable heir for his father, the current emperor of his country. But, as the situation within his own country continuously deteriorates and things start to turn violent, his pursuit of the throne becomes more and more difficult with time, and eventually he will have to question whether continued pursuit will remain viable in the end.

I'm pouring a lot of time and effort into writing this novel, but instead of going on without giving you guys any sort of updates, I figured I could throw a bone here and give a short preview in the form of a rough draft of the book's prologue! It's not the most exciting, but hopefully is enough to show off what I'm working on at the moment. This isn't necessarily how it'll look when the final product is released, but just a taste of what I have so far.
