I don’t to a lot of headstock photos (okay, so there’s another coming up soon) but I’ve always loved the look of Fender style 6-in-line headstocks. The maple has a nice warm color to it and that is an Indian laurel fretboard in the background.

The classic Fender headstock is one of the most distinctive shapes in the world of guitar design; even non-musicians know that they're looking at a Fender guitar.
Though I tend to favor hollow-body guitars, I consider Leo Fender a genius, and his designs have passed the test of time. A new Telecaster, Stratocaster or Jazzmaster is nearly identical to its 1950, 1954 or 1958 introductory version. They're great examples of how form follows function.
