Stories about dragons and knights and medieval settings are pretty abundant, but there's still some interesting stuff to be found in those themes. This idea's been bouncing around for a while now, and I just had to put it down to (digital) pen and paper. I still think that it's a unique take on a classic, and you know what? That's good enough for me. Sure it's a parody in its own weird way, but I like it. Maybe you'll like it too. So, here's a hecking broccoli story about a dragon chomping down on some knights, with a twist to the whole storytelling shtick to make it way more broccoli than vanilla.

Well-written and entertaining little "high fantasy" story with definite potential for sequels. The dragon's ability to absorb weapons and even people through his skin, and vacuum inhalation seemed unnecessarily fanciful, and I imagined he was quite capable of besting a mere handful of knights without these somewhat cartoonish "super powers". Given the dragon's understanding that this village has a largely agricultural economy, I would like to imagine that he thoughtfully left a parting gift in the town square for them the next morning before flying off to "liberate" the next village in his domain --- in the form of a great mound of high quality fertilizer, that only one day before had been a squad of evil, tyrannical, robber knights and the horses they rode in on! Thanks for sharing!
