Consortium 1-3: Shipment of Nothing- Chapter 1
New episode, which means new chapter starting with Richard. It's not exactly something I've intentionally done. Like there is no real reason why an episode has to start with a Richard scene, but I'm currently working on Episode 6 and all six episodes start with a scene involving Richard. Episodes 7 and 8 do not start with him for reasons that will be made clear when we get to them.
Anyway, to the actual story. Episode 1 was kind of an Anon story that went into her backstory and Episode 2 was kind of a Cerise story going into her backstory and now we have Episode 3 which is kind of a Riu story going a bit into his life. As for why Hannah is described as his Prime and not his wife is that in this story, kitsune allow for only 2 spouses. They are more or less the only race that do this, mostly because they are very much traditionalists while the shorter lived races don't feel the need for that and the dragons simply don't care enough. But the first marriage is an arranged marriage and the Prime. One's Prime has to be the opposite sex and they must produce an heir. Though that's more for status than anything since they live long enough there really isn't anything to inherit. You are not allowed to divorce your Prime and they are the official spouse. The other can be whoever they want. Any species, any gender, there really is no distinction.
Dragons are kind of their own thing. And Ackrin is an actual dragon, just effectively a baby one. When really small they can walk around like any normal person, especially with some technological aids. And he is Riu's familiar. Dragons are often very protective of their eggs while they are eggs, but once hatched they tend to lose any interest. They don't really care about their offspring once hatched and don't really form bonds or attachments to them. Especially considering they tend to get wander lust in their early "adult" phase of life and eventually get so big they can't fit in a space ship anymore. Thus pretty much every government position on a planet is run by the dragons as they live for a very long time and have plenty of time to cultivate things. But the Kitsune, being the other long-lived race tend to be more the face to everyone else, because they also have a ton of time to cultivate things and are small enough to still travel the stars.
