Or something like that. :P

Murrahnithahn-i-ia. Note the way I fail hideously at lineart. XP I do actually (mostly) like the way this one turned out, and the way I was able to fudge a smooth gradient into looking sort of like hair. I like the water too; hurray for brushes!
There's one last sketch spot, if anyone wants it. :3

Awwww, thank you! I'd totally forgotten about this! I woke up feeling lousy (stoopid mood-swings)- this perks me up a lot.
*giggles at the title* Heh. A vacation would be nice- I need to go climb some rocks or go beach-combing for sea-glass...
Her face is cute! Yup, some issues with the line-work, but that only comes with practice (if it's any consolation, my own lineart is teh suck a lot of times, too! I always have to go in at high zoom to clean it up).
I like the "tie-dye" or "water-colour" effect on the water- very cool.

I'm glad you like it! I think a few of the problems with the lineart come from the fact that I'm having to photograph the drawings and screw with the contrast in GIMP, as I don't have a scanner. XP
I like the water too; the bulk of its awesomeness, though, comes from me screwing around way too much with brushes.

Ah, so you did line-art first on paper, then photographed it to colour it in this GIMP? Cool. Yeah, not having a scanner blows chunks. I almost couldn't post anything here on FA at first, because I didn't know if my then-room-mate's scanner actually worked. She so rarely used it.
Ah, makes me think of my computer-illiterate aunt, who decided to get a computer that ran VISTA, ARGH. She also had an all-in-one printer/scanner thingy with it. It took me a goddamn HOUR just to make it scan, all thanks to Vista.
To put it in perspective, she was amazed that the computer would do things without it being hooked up to the internet. Also, that I could scan things with her scanner thingy.
The moral of the story is, FUCK VISTA.
