The air was stale, heated, even among the trees; a cool breeze circulated throughout, a saving grace, as dawn became mid-day. Summer on the west coast is never fun, evermore so with the inevitable flames to come. He powers through the thoughts of the fire and the troubles of tomorrow. For now, he focuses on his run. Panting, breathlessly, coming to the end of his route exhausted. He looks at someone walking past him, possibly toward him, noticing his hung over posture, sweat dripping. He lifts himself upright, his chest expanded and flattened, looking toward the person - throwing his hoodie over his shoulder and giving a quick thumbs up.
