Yeah it kinda got less and less 'lewd' as it went along; the original idea I had for this was much more on the lewd side of things with a slightly different angle that had a more direct of a shot towards the character's 'bits' with what we'll call 'form fitting undies'. But with many of these ideas they get toned down by the time they're sketched out and whenever I decided to make the character Sara I added a silly aspect to it.
Well, since it's Sara, this is as lewd as I'd expect her to be (unless the guy is her mate or some such). I remember when she was in heat a couple of "years" ago (real-time not comic time) and I'm not so sure she'd be lewder than this. If I recall correctly, she was more of a tease then. She kind of reminded me of my Amanda Fuchs when I write about her being in heat. Amanda loves to tease her human boyfriend/fiance when she's in heat.
Technically back then she wasn't in heat she was more or less behaving that way because of some stuff she got into. Although part of me has been wanting to explore that topic practically ever since I started writing NLC I've just never found an actual spot I could stick it where it would flow and not totally sidetrack the plot.
Ah, okay. It has been a little while since I read that arc so, I can't remember too much about it. (I guess I'm going to have to start from the beginning again.) I wish I could give you a good idea as to how to bring Sara being in heat and how she acts into the storyline. Me? I just decided that my Humanimal female would go into heat every 13 weeks and then wrote a a couple of chapters that took place during Amanda's heat. A comic, on the other hand, it would take several years for 13 weeks to pass. LOL.
I guess it all depends on what region you're in and how well you want them to fit.
I've seen alot of drawings where there is a small loop or slot for shoving the tail through but I cant imagine that being a real easy or comfortable task, these underwear almost kinda just sit up right against the base of her tail

Well, that's true. However, my "anthros" are GELFs. Since they were created by humans. the humans decided that having a tail wouldn't be necessary. On the other hand, if they had evolved from their feral ancestors, they probably would still have their tails and would probably have developed the technology that you described.
