Hm, I think you forgot a pair of reins. It would be very dangerous for the horse or dragon to ride it only with the long levers of the curb bit.
(And I think its great if different species work together for a better life of both. Of course only if you are doing it right with love for the animal and not only for your honor or money)

Hi Timbergrey,
We humans don't have a mutualist relationship with other animals. They are legally our slaves (chattel property) and we exploit them (use as a mean or resource). Law simply set the way in which we can utilize our property. This means that they are vulnerable to human actions in the same way black people were vulnerable in front of white people not many years ago. In the ordinary context, an animal is only provided of the means (food, housing, etc.) that it needs to work until it is not productive anymore. Anybody can declare himself as an animal abuse detractor because it just means rejecting those harms that don't benefit us. The great change comes when we cease to participate in those animal exploitation forms that are part of our lifestyle.
If we understand the scientific fact that animals feel, that have awareness and that they don't want to be killed or coerced by humans, the only ethical response is to stop participating in animal exploitation in the same way nowadays everybody understand that we must not to enslave other humans. We have a moral duty to respect Animals Rights because we are moral agent (subjects who are aware of their actions). The vision of a mutual benefit in a slave context is a romantic myth that Harriet Beecher Stowe refuted in the first chapter of her novel "Uncle Tom's Cabin". Human slavery was often depicted as a "humane" system dictated by the natural order of things. The same occurs today regarding non-human animals. Veganism is the moral principle against animal exploitation and animal slavery.
I recommend to read the Abolitionist Approach website (https://www.abolitionistapproach.com/) , by Gary Francione, the most important authority in Animal Rights. I'm the author of "¡Derechos Animales ya!" (https://derechosanimalesya.org/).
PS: I'm a biologist from Spain, specialized in Animal Rights. Sorry for my poor English.
Regards.

Thank you for pointing this out. For dragons, I typically use the most severe rein attachment. I admit I do not care much how reins "should be" used on a horse IRL since they shouldn't be used at all to begin with. Taking advantage of another species is abhorrent and advocates of human superiority are not welcome here.
