Its the incomparable  Penh



I finally got around to finishing off Penh's character model, and very dapper he looks too.



As a technical note, this is the first pose of the model rigged and I'm unsure about how the flippers look with wrists and elbows, I might well re-rig them to bend freely.



Expect to see a bit more of the penguin in question in the near future.

Well yeah. By having a chain of joints all along the flipper they can do double duty - Letting me put an elbow kink in there if needed while allowing 'rubber hose' poseing. At least that's the plan.

oh right! i had this nightmarish vision of there being like a spline ik chain for rubber hose mode, then a normally jointed wrist and elbow, and then some sort of weighting influence value slider thing to tween between (tween between? ugh) the two

could be why my rigging career never really took off

Heh, I have to work with rigs like that sometimes, and frankly they've never made my life anything but harder. I get by with a single IK solver on each limb and everything else forward. No splines, no handles, to weighting.
