my wife (Chickenzaur) and I got sick at the same time. We live together with a dog and a cat. We have no one to isolate ourselves from :)
I think the disease will pass in a mild form.

Oof. Well I hope the both of you recover quickly.
You two are probably somewhere along Day 5-7 of a usually 14 day disease progression, where you are highly infectious. Rest, drink plenty of water, and limit outside contact (work, food). Pets can get infected, though the risk seems relatively rare.
