More studies of the Strat. One of the things that was both fascinating and frustrating about drawing this guitar is the plethora of subtle details that make it up. While there are thousands of Stratocasters out there, they are very much handmade objects with dozens of unique parts carefully fitted together. If you don't get it right you can end something people recognize as the object but it just doesn't seem.....Um.....I can't put my finger on it, but it's not right. Especially musicians.

Now, now don't mince words. Tell us how you really feel. Yep I get the same way with bad gun tech. As far as drum sets go I have not tackle one yet but when the time comes I'll try to do my homework first! Besides if I don't I know the first I show it in public Neil Peart will be there in the crowd, and he will take great glee in deconstructing my work as if it was some crime against humanity. Keeps me honest though!
Yes drums can be a hassle to draw, I would know. look at this lineart I did, took almost 4 hours to draw this.
I will reupload this later via scanner so it isn't such a hassle of a cleanup job. but I think it turned out good nonetheless.

I understand your frustration at trying to get it just right.I have had guitars myself and currently own two Gibsons.Plus,my main furry character plays several.Whenever I write a story about her and try to describe the guitar she is playing I have to make sure I get my terminology correct so I don't dumbfound the reader.Nice sketches!
