Yes that's right a new alien species boys and girls! Well meet Laothath. Or Lao as he's usually called. Lao here is a Vuta. A reptilian species that's only been space fairing for a few centuries. Which for them isn't that long at all considering their average life span is 200 years. The Vuta are quite a peaceful species that tend to get on well with others. Although they will be more cautious around species which are far superior to them in technology. Vuta started out with various large tribes wondering the western continent of their world. When two tribes crossed paths they'd trade just about everything. Stories, art, knowledge, and even tribe members as individuals desired. But the Vuta weren't the only sentient species on their homeworld. A cousin species called the Thall eventually traveled there from the Eastern continent. They had superior technology and numbers. Vuta at the time had perhaps an early Roman level of technology while the Thall had around US civil war era technology. The Vuta spent a generation in conflict before being conquered. But after 4 more generations though a plague swept across their world. Vuta were immune. Thall however took heavy losses from the illness. This decline in numbers cupled with the Vuta having gained a greater understanding of the Thall including learning to to speak and read the Thall language lead to many uprisings. Eventually the Thall granted Vuta freedom as their own species was now by far the minority. After a few more generations the Thall died out from the last vestiges of the plague and in fighting. The Vuta were left now with the Thall's archives and records. They expanded their horizons and learned a new and continued to build off of what they learned from the Thall. Eventually they made it out into space and made first contact with the Sokee.

Being merely a studen on board the ship there to learn form their experience and to take notes on the species they observe and contact he doesn't have a whole lot of free time to find good work. But seeing as they're in Sokee space Lao was approached by a Sokee diaper company branching out and hoping to attract other species as customers. So Lao having always had a thing for diapers himself and having had some issues with the occasional accident agreed to pose for some photos for ads for them and participate in a few shoots for commercials. He'll get a percentage from every showing of his commercial and view of it on the extra-net and will receive royalties for anything using his image. Lao couldn't be happier. Here he is posing in what's usually the norm of Vuta dress code save for the lack of a waist cloth or shorts. The bands he's wearing aren't just decorative either. They're micro computer systems that can project holograms.
