Four weeks for the second one then 2 more for the full effectiveness of the vaccine to be in effect. Just remember, the vaccine is to keep you from getting sick enough to have to be admitted to a hospital (this goes for ALL vaccines) so continue to be careful and wear a mask among others if you know they have not been vaccinated or you cannot be sure. The new Delta and Delta Plus variants are much worse than the earlier ones.

All of the vaccines were pushed out too quickly to prevent side effects so they're all pretty useless unless you're at significant risk.

The base tech behind these vaccines were in development and clinical testing (in humans) for 5 and more years. They only had to tailor them for this particular virus. There was a 60 minutes piece on this back in May.

Knowing about the children of thalidomide has rendered me too concerned to take the new shots as soon as now

Even with these vaccine I'm still keeping my mask on.
The only way you can be sure if some has the shot I if they show you the card but there are some people out their that made fake ones.

Did your arm get sore?

My arm was essentially dead for two days after the first one, but that was because I didn't hydrate enough and ended up unable to move it, in addition to the pain. After the second one, since I actually hydrated decently, it definitely hurt for a few days, but not as much, and I was able to keep the majority of my range of motion. What hit me hardest was the two-day migraine (I've been told that isn't very common), the all-over body aches and weakness that lasted for a day, and just the absolute lack of any energy at all. I basically just sat in my recliner watching YouTube and chugging Gatorade (nurse informed me that water or Gatorade was best to stay hydrated, so I opted for flavor).

Something of note that I've been told is that the more active your immune system, the harder it will hit you, so I guess it just means my immune system is functioning well enough.

Congrats! I slept for large portions of three days after my second shot and was low-energy for the rest of the week after that. Now i'm feeling fine!

So to second one made you tired or sick?

For a bit, yeah. Tired/achy and a fever, some ibuprofen took care of that when I got tired of it.
I've had worse colds/flus so it was well worth the bother!

Pfizer were the one I got and my husband too. it's 21 days and we got the econd. only 2 doses of it.
Did you get any side-effects? we didn't, just a bit sore arm but that's it.
