Yeah but it was a real challenge since that is the first time I have ever drawn one. So I was really having to remember how one is put together. Apaches are actually rather long and skinny, but from this angle they look really squat.

And with the perspective of how one looks at that angle...Man that must've required a lot more thinking than drawing. How many hours did you spend on this altogether?

niiiice... reminds me of an encounter I had with one once...

In the center of my city of residence, there's canals running around the city (big medieval Dutch cities were all constructed like that - starshaped 'moat' around the center) and I was sitting on my moped on one of the bridges crossing the canal, waiting for a green light.

I noticed a sound coming from the right, and when I looked over there, one of these was hovering just above the water, nose pointed at me, the pilot and copilot grinning... A mere 5 to 10 meters away from the bridge, at eye level. It then pulled up and flew away over the trees and buildings lining the canal. Most awesome "whut the..." moment in my life. Wish I had had a camera with me at the moment.

Those fuckers are SILENT. I could barely hear it over the sound of the traffic around me.

Apache = most epic WIN in helicopters EVAR. Together with the Chinook :)
