It's been roughly one year since I started drawing my buff dragon sona. Figured it was prime time to do a comparison and see how I've improved. Here we go:

On the left is my first (mostly) full-body drawing of Ralus in a sketchbook. (Fun facts; he originally had the name Venrid. But I opted to swap it out for something that rolls off the tongue better while still sounding somewhat exotic. He was also planned to be much more humble before deciding on a more cocky personality.) Sure, he looks more like an anteater that was thrown into a wood-chipper, but I was damn proud of it back then. I'm not even sure you can say there's anatomy on him, heh.

On the right is my most recent take on Ral. Posing is slightly changed up, since I have no idea what the hands on the left side were even doing. Still, a noticeable improvement all around. Is it perfect? Hell no, but I've still got plenty of years ahead of me. Who knows where I'll be in the future of casual artistry, but life's about the journey, right? So here's to another year (and hopefully more) of drawing Ralus, Dhaxon, and Victor!
