Are you using this: http://www.utrechtart.com/dsp_view_.....cfm?item=55876 And also, what weight is your watercolor paper? 140lbs and above is all I can use with this technique. Anything below that weight level pills and disintegrates. And when you rub the gouache off, don't be forceful with it. Just lightly glide your hand over the surface with the water running over it (I use the spray nozzle at the kitchen sink and warm water). At a certain point, you'll notice that nothing else is coming off. Don't try to rub anything else off forcefully. If you don't get what you want, you count your losses and try again. Thats the love/hate nature of this technique.
