A character design commission for https://www.furaffinity.net/user/e5111/, featuring Viera, from the commissioner's original story I'm Not an Evil Sorceress.
Story Synopsis:
Princess Adalind is miserable. She's caught in an arranged marriage, kept apart from the woman she loves, and can't even study magic openly for fear of being branded a wicked enchantress. But her problems reach a whole new level when she runs afoul of the Dark Sorceress, Phaedra, who is everything Adalind has vowed never to be. As she finds herself being pulled under the witch's spell, though, she has to wonder, is being a plaything of the Dark Sorceress really so bad? And could it be that Phaedra isn't all her reputation says she is?
Character Introduction:
"Dame Viera is a knight of the crown of Vernia, assigned as personal bodyguard to Princess Adalind. As their friendship has grown over the years, Viera has found herself falling ever deeper in love with her charge, but dutiful and chivalrous to a fault, unaware of the fact that her feelings are requited, Viera can't quite bring herself to make them known."
Val's Notes: For Viera, we decided to try and work with a more grounded and realistic suit of armor than some of the more fantastical armors I've worked with in the past, providing Viera with a practical suit of chain and plate with the emblem of her kingdom painted on the front. Her "civilian" appearance is inspired by Frankish clothing, similar to Zella ( https://www.deviantart.com/kathalia.....ella-880710742 ), but focusing on a more practical and simple appearance.
