Don't normally post a lot of my BBA art here (there's too much, FA isn't good about mass uploads, and it has less recognition here), but I thought this was cute enough to include.
Luci = Nightrun
Sang = Bloodspill
Fei is a deaf, albino Elite dire wolf. Luci and her aren't siblings but rather sort of cousins.
Initiates gain their Elite names after the final ceremony, the same time they receive their marks.
This is a roughly conceived scene where Luci and Tach (Swiftkill) share a moment. Not sure whether this will end up in the comic, and probably not verbatim or with the same staging, but it serves as an experiment into how the comic might be laid out and a little character interaction.
Also please excuse any grammatical mistakes. I wasn't overly concerned with the dialogue here since this time it has no bearing on anything.

It will, we realized in the middle of making issue 1 that the series could really stand a reboot. But we figured it would just be best to keep going as is. By now though our skills have improved so much that trying to keep it as it currently stands would just be stuffing ourselves into a box. When we changed hands (me taking over as the lead for the project) we decided that was a good excuse to restart.
She's still around, but the year was tough for personal reasons (mum died being among them) and her new job suddenly just ATE her life. Understandably, it sucks a lot of your enthusiasm for anything out of ya. She drifted towards painting to change it up and get some mojo back, but time-wise it's still been hard (she doesn't even really have time for that anymore). We managed to hammer out a lot of BBA game work (art assets) though before Stardock suddenly cranked up production on their latest game project and she got sucked away. At first we thought that would last until June or something, when the original deadline was set. But since then it's been set back to August and they're going to be marching to get out a patch by September.
So yeah, like zero time to herself and not much want to do a ton of computer work after spending 8+ hours each day staring at one. What's more, she's not that confident about her own work and so handed the project to me, thinking I could do a better job (I offered to take the pressure off too, the fans are kind of nuts).
Essentially we just switched places. Before she was the lead, now I am. HOWEVER I still consult her on pretty much everything. She also has a great business sense so I definitely don't want her to leave the project.

I understand completely about not wanting to work on something after staring at a computer screen for 8 hours. My life is very busy, and though I want to work on developing my art skills more, by the time I settle down for the day, I only have a couple hours to myself. So I just want to relax instead of focusing on an art piece. Well, I'm just happy to hear she is alive and well :). Thanks for updating me :D. Good luck on the comic ;).
Recognize! That's too bad hun because this is such a good story, very well written. The only thing I can think of is to post more regularly. Posting once a few months or few times a year while we understand is necessary... well, furries have short attention spans.
But I hope all is well and I hope you both get a lot out of the next stages of this story. I know I will! Thanks for the update!

Oh hell, we didn't want to post that slowly either. But if you look at the exchange above you, shit kind of went down and made life pretty tough. And that's just Kay's side. Me, I was finishing college and it was starting to hammer my ass. Thesis project, ugh.
