A Marten by Difetra
When I began learning how to use the software for the machine at Memories-4-Ever, I approached
difetra for the use of some of him artwork. While originally I'd intended to du multiple pieces, what ended up happening was something just as good.
This is actually the second print of this piece that I did—the first can be found in the "specialty" folder—and took about a half a day to complete once I'd gotten all the kinks worked out. I probably don't need to explain how difficult it is to ling up what amounts to a square image with an oval piece of wood, but it boils down to this; it's a pain in the arse. This image took two weeks and a "failed" print (which actually takes the spot as the best quality print I've made) to get right, but the result was well worth the effort.
While I kept the failed print (and have it on my wall) Difetra was very please with both pieces and from what I've been told, this piece is now proudly on display in his art room. I'm very glad to say that he was very please with the piece, and I'm glad to have gotten the chance to learn from it's creation.
There's a level of depth here that I stand in awe of every time I look at this print. In all honesty, this is my favorite print bar none, and with this beasty—as well as the other prints I've cut my teeth on—under my belt, I can say with utter surety that I can do any image that I'm given!
Anyway, as always, credit is given where credit is due, Difetra is an amazing artist, and a truly great person that I'm proud to have as a friend! So, if you'd like to see the original piece, click here > https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35341216/
Or if you'd like to get in contact with Difetra about getting art done of your characters, you can find his contact information on his page, or by clicking here > https://www.difetra.com/commission/ where you'll also find pricing and work examples, as well as links to other websites where he posts his work!
