Sorry I forgot you - story in description
Story is set in military research base in the Arctic. A crew of a Lockheed betray their country and set enclosed dragons of multiple generations free and flee after they've set the facility to self destruct. The Escapees are fellow Night, Light, Subspecies and experimental Fury whom all have their wings tightly strapped and locked by an advanced mechanism.
The Pilot and copilot along with a few of the planes crew members rush to a parked Lockheed C-5 Galaxy inside a closed hanger. The exit doors are swung open violently as the Pilot and co pilot rushed to the cabin. Taking their seats and began to flip switches and levers. As for the few crew members one had lowered the ramp for the cargo that was about to board it. This cargo was anything but of the ordinary. This cargo were Furys. Distant explosions are heard as soon warnings and alarms start going off. The hanger echoed, "Warning. Core at critical state. All personal and staff evacuate the facility immediately." The hanger rattling and ground shaking. By now the cargo of several dozen fury's were boarding onto the plane. From elders to soon to be mothers to hatchlings, all being loaded. The crew gesturing and waving them quickly as the engines soon became alive and roared. The hangar doors begin to open as the freezing cold air from the outside rushed in, fogging up the cockpit windows. Unexpectedly and without warning the Lockheed slowly begins to taxi out of the hanger as the last final furys are boarding, even while the hanger doors were about half way opened they continued to taxi. The ground beneath begin to crack and split open. Another distant explosion is heard and this time could be felt as a massive crack appears right underneath the Lockheed. The hanger rattling and groaning, the stress being put on the metal as it wanted to collapse on itself. As for the furys they were scared, especially for the hatchlings as they didnt know what was happening, poor little souls, huddled up to their parents. The furys spread out across the length of cargo area. The elderly and mothers at the back near the cabin as the Younger to Older furys stayed near the ramp area, watching as the hanger began to collapse down in the middle, starting from the back. The Lockheed about half way outside of the hanger as another distant explosion, this time shaking the Lockheed just a bit now. Time was running out, and they didn't have much time left. The cold air starting to rush into the cargo area as the ramp was jammed, the electrical connection were not working. The hanger collapsed as the final bit of the plane made it out. "2 minutes till detonation," as a final warning time. The engines roared loudly as the Lockheed slowly begins to travel down the runway after taxing onto it. The furys had a good view of a partially snowed covered runway and the tire tracks from the Lockheed. The mountains could be seen not far behind. As the Lockheed started to gain speed and travel down the runway, a crack from the hanger started to follow and chase them. Spreading out across multiple runways and snow covered fields. Along the runway were little bumps, making everyone shake and bounce slightly to the bumps. The engines roaring mightly and loudly as the Lockheed was gaining speed quickly. Shortly and slowly the Lockheed began to lift up and off from the runway. Then a loud siren went off and then completely silence from the building as the Lockheed was soon off the runway by the time the runway ended. Once in the air there was a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. The arctic plains, glaciers and oceans. Furys stacked up by the ramp wanting to watch the explosion as well look at the scenery before them. The Lockheed flew a few hundred more feet before a ground shattering explosion happened. Decimating the building and sending a shock wave, hitting the Lockheed and causing violent turbulence tossing some of the furys and crew off their balance. Unfortunately for a fury, they got drastically lost their balance and fell over and off the ramp when the shockwave hit, plummeting down towards to the ice sheets over the freezing waters. A couple of dragons quickly regained their balanced once seeing the jettisoned fury, looking over the edge and roaring in pain to the falling fury. One even attempted to jump out and after the fury but the other held them back, as they can only watch their brethren fall. The fury accepted its fate, and let themslves plummet, falling fast and with their backs to earth. A series of flashbacks begin to happen, only lasting for a brief moment but still cherishing their most favorable memories. Seeing the plane slowly shrink before them, admiring the clear blue skies, smiling to the view, as it was their first time ever seeing the sky, being in the outside world. As then a second explosion happen. Sending a second shockwave and almost knocking the fury out as it impacted them, making them tumble and do a few flips in the air. Secondary sources of shrapnel flew in all directions. Some cutting and wedging themselves deep into the furys back which they only whinced a little. With a final smile and a tear forming, they say their final words, "See you all, in the Afterlife." Seconds later they impact the ice sheet and sunk several feet into the water. The sunlight shines on the fury gracefully, and onto the surroundings. The fury bending a tad as they slowly begin to sink into the dark depths of the frozen water. This furys, final resting place.
This I finally got around to making. Who knew a little quote from a song can grow such things. This is that one thing. In the future, I do plan to get this commission, for the artwork of the Fury in the water and hopefully this to be better written, because I'm no writer and no where near to being an expert writer. If there are like fucked up parts in the writing I'm sorry, I went over and edited so many times before you don't catch your mistakes. I truly apologize. As for the artwork it's just a simple built in wallpaper for my ZTE phone and I just needed something so I can post this :D.
