(relatively) Quick, messy sketch I made a few days ago at this point (which was initially posted to my Twitter thingy) that I've decided to put up here.
I wrecked my right wrist in April/May, and I've been suffering from aches, strains, and rapid tiredness in it since. Although I've been trying to let it heal, since it affects my dominant hand, progress has been annoyingly slow. While this has given me an excuse to practice doing things with my left hand (which you can, coincidentally, also see on my Twitter thingy), it's also led to a slight decline in my overall skill level. This little sketch wasn't actually the first digital one I made after a short break, but since the first one was so... let's say, scuffed (or simply cursed), it may as well be.
For some reason, YouTube recommended me a compilation of clips from "Assassination Classroom", and I referenced a frame from second season, albeit lightly. While I'm mostly pleased with how the hood came out, the lower part doesn't feel weighty/thick enough, which is an issue I've also noticed in other drawings I've made. On the bright side, as I type this, I have a new "proper" piece in the works which addresses many of the problems this piece has. While some part of me was maybe hoping to post it here and on my Twitter thingy before/on Friday (currently yesterday for me), it should be out sometime next week. I make no promises, though! My brain hates me, and as soon as I commit to something, it ends up deciding that procrastinating is a far better use of my time. This also explains my sub-par performance in school, but that's a mental breakdown and long crying session for another time.
Anyway, it's almost 5am, so I'm going to bed.
