Linda is one of my coworkers who is one of the hosts from Central Texas Gardener. A recent Art Night challenge was to draw someone who is NOT a furry as an animal, give it to them, and report back on what they thought. Hopefully she'll be in the office tomorrow so I'll have my response in time! :)

No, it's more the way that the frame dips to the lower left, the flowers at the bottom are too far left, and the bulk of the dog is to the lower left, as well. Any of of these you could have compensated for, but taken together they make the picture seem like it's bulging to the lower left.
