I played with some clip brushes I downloaded. The result was this took a super long time. But I may try to keep some of these things for other images.
Like those scales. They're a bit tricky, but when they work they WORK!

The director (and lead role actor) is an underrated gem in moviemaking.

Have you maybe seen "Shaolin Soccer"? That's a film he made before this that broke through to the Western Audience.

But if you are inrerested in a movie that deliberately uses some cartoonish slapstick but mixes it up with traditional kung fu movie tropes and an actual romantic B plot, then go see Kung Fu Hustle.
I recommend you watch it with the original audio and subtitling. The dub isn't bad, but it misses the inflection of the original actors when they play out some stereotypes.
