RPG Screenshot _ Early map design planning
Not scripted at all and currently drawing idea how map layout and functions will work.
Basically the goal is random generation with seed as everything is just points of interest in a massive void. Since the world is a big void stomach of a monster that eats people from multiple dimensions.
Theme is gooey black stomach flesh world with swallowed up cites, buildings, etc scattered around the void. When learning of quest items they will show as a travel point to go to.
While traveling between points of interest it will cost hunger based how far it is. So you have to eat food items or eat your enemies (or teammates~) to make it around the world. It will display hunger drain preview on the character stats on the right. Like how much of the bar will drain when traveling.
When traveling between points you can trigger random encounters which can be enemy battles, hidden items, traveling shop keeper, recruitable allies, special vore scenes, etc.
Also fun fact there will be an teammate leadership points system, so if your teammates are starving and it's value is too low they may turn on you or other teammate for a meal. There is also way to eat teammates to carry them safely (or not so safe) to help avoid situations where hunger gets too low and leadership fails with your group.

Still working out plans, it's easy to add menu option to toggle, however I'm worried about breaking characters or making game easy if you can turn off their vore moves. As each character has own attacks and grapple skills. HOWEVER for scat there is no reason not to so I will have that option.
So quick question
Will quest items still be generated or usable before the character learns about their location?
For example, Skyrim’s first quest item, the Dragon Stone
You can go through a dungeon before progressing in the main storyline, get the stone, then use it where you need to before even knowing you needed it
