The painting Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh has a lot of meaning for me lately. He did the painting during his stay at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum, a view from his studio there. I've been relating a lot to Van Gogh lately, partly due to the theory a lot of psychologists have that Van Gogh suffered from emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD) / borderline personality disorder (BPD) along with other conditions. The yellow light is a happy memory I cling to during my mood swings, the masks show the mood swings I go through. The times vary, I can feel a ton of emotions in an hour or a few hours. My view of myself and how I see the world is distorted, these mimically Van Gogh's style to try and convey that. I'm not good with words when it comes to describing how I feel, I believe this is as close I can get to explaining myself. This isn't an excuse for my feelings or reactions, I'm working on improving.
