More fan art based on the Fox and Crow series out of Columbia studios. When UPA took over the contract they didn't really want to do Fox and Crow cartoons, but they had to do something, so one that they did was ``The Magic Fluke''. It's another in the long line of cartoons built around Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody Number 2.
Fox and Crow start out as conductor and one-man band. Fox (here called 'Lips') gets his chance to conduct an orchestra, but there's no baton. Crow finds one: a magic wand from the show next door. You can watch the cartoon at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-k6SCZb47mI and I found it delightful.
So this moment is from around 4:25 in, as Fox starts to realize there's something going on around here. Unfortunately it's at a moment when his hands are at this really tricky angle, and I wasn't tracing the lines, so that's why they look even more weird. I love the way his tuxedo jacket falls, though.
