I think I want to rename Nem, I have a new one in mind but it's got nothing to do with this painting 🌺
Anemone is usually seen as one of my more positive and kind characters, after all, she is indeed pastel pink! But there's a depth to her she hides, and she wears old wounds internally. Forever the optimist though, she will go to her grave wishing that other life forms would be the best versions of themselves. It's this lifestyle that contributes to her internal sadness, because the truth is, most sentient life forms do not wish to be the best versions of themselves. They are almost always a disappointment, and will lie, cheat and steal for five minutes in the suns radiance. So while she is an optimist and will always hope people strive to be better, the reality can prove too painful for her to handle. So 'Nem chooses to avoid people. She's the type of person to wish she had the power to make the world a better place around herself, but knows deep down there's no way it's possible.
for this sort of two faceted personality, I've decided to rename her Persephone, after the Greek goddess of spring who became queen of the underworld, forced to live half of each year in the darkness with her husband.
