In this alternate timeline, Vizlet and Lopin were born from the same clutch. Loopie is female, but has a very domineering and masculine personality, as well as features such as a large shelltooth.
On the contrary, Vizlip is particularly runty, with very poor social skills, and a variety of physical issues.
Since enclave females aren't really allowed to present themselves as male, Loopie channeled her standoffish rebelliousness into wearing technically female clothes, but with the very lightly-clothed style of a common male, and constantly bullied the males and females of the enclave.
Vizlip, on the other hand, kept her distance from most of the others, preferring to keep herself in confined, quiet places where she could read. The others were so annoying, with all their questions and comments and unnecessary talking, causing most interactions with her to end with her lashing out and running off.
Since Loopie's behavior soon caused everyone to avoid her, she soon turned her attention to the local loner.
Later, Vizlip found she was getting exposed to all sorts of new experiences while begrudgingly being dragged around by Loopie, and Loopie found herself enjoying the company of someone who didn't immediately run away from her. Vizlip may have even discovered that she has a *thing* for being grabbed by the ear and dragged around to accompany the much larger female.
And so, the two pariahs found an odd sort of friendship, which has ironically been good for them both.

Life must be hard for a yinglet with such crooked shellteeth and dull, stringy plumage! At least she found an interesting friend. They're really good for each other, in this timeline!
Do you have a naming scheme in mind when it comes to yinglets? Do things like the -let suffix in a lot of matriarch and patriarch names have any particular status to them?
