I know a certain, sweet kitty who spoils me utterly rotten. Not so long ago, the idea came up for Eliki to show Niamh around some part of the world in which he lives, and this afternoon, this sweet little picture showed up in my inbox. Niamh, I'm sure, would be absolutely enthralled with having a whole new world to discover, especially one as beautiful as the one Eliki has created. (The phrase "tickled pink" comes to mind. But I promised my doctor I'd lay off the bad jokes for a while.) And what better way to explore, than with someone as sweet and gentle as Eliki is by your side?
From the look of things, she's either gone native in a hurry, or she just decided to plunder poor Leana's wardrobe again. Either way, I want the clothes she's wearing.

*Blush* Yes, well, when you have the right sort of incentive to keep you going, I'm sure that it's no chore to keep practicing until you get it right. I was rather more focused on the way her skirt flows around her legs, but he did do a pretty good job of showing things in motion, I agree. The background is quite lovely, too. Every time Eliki shows a background like this, I just want to explore it so much!
Oh, I have no doubt of that. There are some things you can just never have too much practice with. I know that Niamh doesn't mind modeling for you in the least, either.
As for your skirts, you know I've always loved the way you design clothes, and this particular design, with the top with one shoulder left bare, has long been a favorite of mine. So I've enjoyed watching you perfect it immensely. Plus, you really have gotten a heck of a lot better with things like the way cloth flows, since I first met you, and it's something that has continually impressed me about your art. It's always great to see an artist who is so devoted to his art, as I've said several times before.

Aww, well that's really sweet of you, kitty. And thank you, again, for letting me show it off. Every picture you do for me is always so sweet, I can't resist wanting to show it off, when you say it's okay, just because of how happy they make me. Especially sweet things like this.
I'd kind of guessed they were in a park, or something like a park, close to the city. For some reason, I kind of imagine them running toward a pavilion, or a sheltered picnic area, like they have in some of the parks near here. Though I wouldn't be at all surprised if Phoenixbrook had something rather more interesting to serve as a shelter. And yes, I'm sure than Niamh would have a great time anywhere you wanted to take her. Whether it's a park, or a city block, she loves being able to explore new places, and see all the sights around her.

I've already said this on Eliki's FA, but I think this is a truly wonderful picture. I think what really makes it are the expressions on both characters' faces. It's just the sort of reaction you get when two people who are close get caught in the rain like that - the first reaction is often to grin and laugh about it. It's a lovely picture. =:)
Oh, it is a wonderful picture, I completely agree. Eliki really captured the joy of moments like this one very well, and the happiness the two of them are sharing here just brings it to life. And yes, I've noticed that charming little phenomenon, too. It's little touches like that which make Eliki's work so sweet.
