This pic is something I finished incredibly quickly, by my standards. basically, this started out as a really really quick sketch I did, but had much fun doing it - a Hyena based on someone I saw in the club last weekend :3
I was quite happy that the sketch turned out so unexpectedly well and thought Id go color it. I really went on a new path this time, this is my first go whitout any ink linework laid out ontop. I simply painted over the sketch (or below it, rather, set the pencilwork as a multiply layer above my colors whilst I was blocking out the basic colors), then added the shading ontop, and a finishing, roughly painted ambient layer (whichs effect I absolutely love. 30 secs of pen-swinging and it looked a whole lot better by adding some additional larger, saturated shadows).
anyways, this picture now basically took less than a day of work, an absolute record for me :D - plus I love the character, am satisfied with the expression and the shading looks decent, too ^^

PS: best viewed in full view, since the rather bright design of FA somewhat worsens the contrast of the image :)
