while hiding in a patch of bushes I was able to get close enough to capture a photo of this beautiful specimen, Canis lupus. Who came out of its mountain habitat to have an drink of mountain fresh icewater at the rivers edge

aww.. nice nature you have in your surroundings wolfy. guess the water is not warmer then around +50F. so take your bath

yes you can, thankfully I knew that, because I was lost overnight and in the morning on a camping trip, when I had to drink from the stream.

well this was a clear stream running over the edge of rocks, the water was perfectly fine. Didnt get sick, was actually refreshing after hiking all night and morning. Was truly something I will not forget.
