A bright and sunny day was upon Azure Island, an island that Mikey and Tu Li's friend Lucia lived in. However, even though it was a nice day to be outside, Lucia was back inside her Treehouse, as she was sitting in front of her television playing Super Smash Brothers Ultimate with her friend Mikey.


It had been quite some time since the both of them had played against one another, and Mikey had come by to ask if Lucia wanted to have a session of gameplay against him. To his luck, Lucia didn't have to do any tasks on the Island today. They had both even made a fun little wager, which was that whoever lost would have to go out and grab the others' favourite snack that was from the Jungle. Lucia had come to agree to these terms, feeling that it would have been a sure win after the last time she had gone up against Mikey playing Smash Brothers. Both of them chose their characters respectively; Lucia being Min Min, and Mikey being Dr. Mario, with the match being 2 stock lives. Mikey began to chuckle, but she could see that Mikey was beginning to get ahead of himself, and starting to act cocky around Lucia. She knew couldn't hold back, and had to get serious in this match. The match soon began, as Lucia controlled Min Min into rushing towards Dr. Mario, Lucia used the controls for Min Min to extend her Dragon arm to hit the Doctor. Mikey made Dr. Mario get some distance away from Min Min by jumping back and dodging her attack, landing on an upper platform. Mikey then made Dr. Mario run towards Min Min, as Mikey made him throw a few pills at Min Min, all while following up with a large aerial punch for a quick strike. Min Min took some damage from the hits but it wasn't enough for a knockout and Lucia to lose a stock.


Lucia: Well now, that was close. But you have to do a lot better than that to take me out.


Mikey: Oh yeah? Well I haven't even gotten started yet. This match has only begun.


Lucia: Maybe true, but anything can still happen until the end.


Mikey: Couldn't agree more.


Mikey began to press the B button to make Dr. Mario throw more pills towards Min Min as they came her way. Lucia began to smile as she made Min Min jump and run on the platform above Dr. Mario, all while changing her Ramram arm with the Megawatt arm. Mikey saw this and made Dr. Mario jump upwards and perform another swift right aerial punch. But the Doctor had missed Min Min, who had air dodged off the platform and counterattacked by hitting Dr. Mario from behind with her Megawatt arm. It was then Mikey realized that Min Min's attacks hit hard, very hard. He saw Dr. Mario get knocked off the stage but he quickly made the Doctor jump to get back on. Lucia predicted this however as she tilted her joystick to the direction that faced Dr. Mario, and charged up her Megawatt arm attack, making Min Min begin to sparkle brightly.


Mikey: Awww nuts.


Lucia was able to make Min Min's move charge up to full power as Min Min hurled the giant ball into the Doctor's upper half. Mikey could only watch as Dr. Mario flew off the stage, but he wasn't going to give up. At first Mikey began to jump back to the platform, where he knew Dr. Mario was going to grab the edge. That was then Lucia had made Min Min use her Dragon arm, extending outside of the stage where it was directly in front of the Doctor. The moment the dragon arm blasted fire from its mouth, Dr. Mario was sent off the screen. He lost a stock. He had only one left.


The match continued, with Mikey and Lucia battling one another in Super Smash Brothers. The moment Dr. Mario respawned back to the stage, Mikey made the Doctor dash towards Min Min, as he made Dr. MArio perform an Aerial punch. Lucia saw this coming, as she was ready to do an aerial dodge at the right moment. However, as she was about to press the R button with the joystick being to the right, her right index finger slipped, causing her to not make the dodge, and Mikey's move with Dr. Mario to connect. She had lost a stock, and were both now at one stock each as Mikey began to grin. As soon as Min Min came back to the stage, the battle resumed. Mikey had made Dr. Mario dash towards Min Min to make the first attack, but Lucia was able to make Min Min dodge, performing a counterattack against the Doctor. Seeing it as a lucky hit, Mikey tried a different tactic. This worked for a time as Min Min took a good amount of damage as her damage was at 90%. However, even though Mikey had gotten Dr. Mario to do a lot of damage done to Min Min, Lucia was able to get in good hits herself, leaving Dr. Mario to be at 79% damage.


Lucia: That was close. But you won't beat me.


Mikey: Oh yeah? Well I haven't even gotten started yet. This match has only begun.


Lucia: Well I don't think it will last much longer.


Mikey: Couldn't agree more


At this time, Mikey was beginning to feel smug, due to having less damage than Lucia, he made Dr. Mario go in for one last hit. However, Lucia saw this coming, and performed a sidestep dodge, making Dr. Mario's attack missed, and followed up with a punch with her Megawatt arm, causing the Doctor to fly off the stage. Mikey had lost.


"GAME!" Screamed the announcer, "This game's winner is MIN MIN!"


Mikey could only look at the screen dumbfounded and shocked, as Lucia grinned as she was happy with her victory. Seeing what happened made Mikey reflect at how he was behaving during the time he was going up against her. He acted in a way that he was a far better player than he was before, but let that go to his head. And upon realising it, he lowered his head, as he began to feel bad for how he was acting during the match. That was then he felt a hand placed on his shoulder, and saw Lucia, who was smiling smugly at him.


Mikey could only smile back at Lucia, feeling that he could use this as a lesson in being more considerate and humble when playing games instead of it going to his head. Even though he came to this resolution, he knew that a bet was a bet, and he was going to own up to getting Lucia her favourite snack. Blueberries.


Mikey: I lost and I promised I would get you your blueberries. Even though..........


Mikey began to feel a bit nervous, only seeing that he had to go out on his own in the jungle. After the last time he had gone off in the jungle of Azure Island, he had fallen prey to a creature that went by the name of Ilana, which Lucia had encountered and fought against many times before in the past. Mikey began to feel a bit nervous as he began to reach the door. It was then he felt a few taps to his back, and saw Lucia walking with him by his side, holding her spear with a smile.


Mikey: You. You sure?


Lucia nodded her head and smiled. Hearing this, Mikey began to feel at ease, and summoned his Bow Keyblade out of thin air. He smiled back at Lucia, as the two of them made it out the door.

It's been quite some time since Mikey had been able to hang out with Lucia again, and to see them being able to play games with each other felt right once I saw Azu doing this pose. With the time passed, only felt right that it showed Mikey did improve, but had gotten in over his head with his small improvement. But to have him learn from this experience, I felt that it was a good learning point for in in regards to playing with others :) . And also still good to see him getting along better with his friends. Great work once again Azu
