The Winnipeg Voyageurs are happy to announce that we have officially begun a partnership with Koala Cola as the official drink sponsor of the team. Whether you choose to relax with a refreshing glass of Koala Cola Vanilla or refuel after a tough game with some Freezing Glacier Pandaade, Koala Cola will be there for you through all of life’s challenges and triumphs.

April 2021:

“Mr. Malka, do you have a minute?”

Kevin paused, slinging his bag over his shoulder as he left the locker room. Michelle, one of the team’s public relations managers, had been waiting for him outside of the locker room. The pangolin was a bit surprised, he didn’t have much reason to interact with her.

“Mrs. Gomez, what can I do for you? I don’t think I’ve tweeted anything that would need me to come see you recently.”

The ewe smiled and gestured for the pangolin to follow her. “No, nothing so disastrous today, Mr. Malka. I come because Mr. Hatfield wanted me to make sure you didn’t have any conflict of interests before we make a request.”

“What manner of request?”

Michelle rounded a corner, leading the way towards her office before she responded. “The Voyageurs have accepted a partnership with Koala Cola. We know you have several private sponsorships, and we wanted to ensure that none of them would conflict with being the brand ambassador for the team.”

The ewe stopped in front of her office and unlocked the door, gesturing the much larger pangolin inside. With a wave, she gestured for Kevin to take a seat in the chair in front of her desk before she moved to stand behind the other side, gathering some papers.

Kevin blinked, setting down his bag and seating himself in front of her desk. “No, my only ongoing sponsorships are with Tommy Quillfiger, Manidae, and my favourite brand of chocolate-covered ants. Nothing that would conflict with this sponsorship. But are you sure that you want to choose me for this? I don’t drink that much soda.”

The ewe nodded. “That’s fine. You won’t be expected to suddenly start drinking a bunch of soda. We will, of course, have their drinks here and at the training facilities, mostly their Pandaade, and you may need to drink some during photo-shoots and other public appearances on behalf of the team, but nothing that would be expected outside of your usual contracts. We will also ask that you do your best to abstain from any Pupsi brand drinks, as it wouldn’t reflect well upon the team for us to be seen drinking from the sponsor’s primary competitor.”

The pangolin shrugged his shoulders. “Then sure, I guess I don’t mind being the brand ambassador for the team.”

Michelle smiled. “Good to hear, Mr. Malka. If you could just sign these…” The ewe slid some papers across the desk. “The terms of the sponsorship are outlined here, including your payments as ambassador.”
