It's always nice to see a happy Tial, slightly mischievous if affectionate here though I imagine Jet is someone whom they're particularly comfortable with and close to. He doesn't seem to mind the hug or belly rub at all, even if it was quite a surprise.
I imagine with komodos the belly scales would probably be quite smooth to the touch and sensitive in that region even if the hide and scales are thicker elsewhere, so they'd probably be able to enjoy belly rubs.
