Anywhere that data flows, where power is dammed up behind insulating plastic and where myriad transformers, modems, connectors and cable-ties merge, there is the hydra. It lurks in the dark behind computers, behind televisions and in the crawlspaces of bulk wiring. It is the hydra and it is to be feared.

All wiring left alone for long enough will be consumed by the hydra and twisted into more like itself. Tangles and interference turn once benign data cables into a sinister beast that will not be tamed.
