At a recent pride party put on by artist Dirty-Bird for the June 2021 pride month, Duncan chose to show his support as a strong ally to the LGBTQ community. Seen here dancing "the swim" of course and waving the straight ally flag. When a buizel does this dance he can summon water for effect and leave the dance floor clean and dry when he is finished.
As his trainer I come from the technical side of performing arts theater where I met some of the smartest, most talented and fun-loving people but saw first hand the persecution and discrimination the LGBTQ among us faced outside of the theater community. I have a lot to learn but at every opportunity I support equal rights for everyone – regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender or religion. Doing what we can to call out discrimination and to fight for equality. Trying to make the world a better place for anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+. Education is key and we pass this lesson to our buddies, people and pokemon alike.

Thank you! Yes, we do not kid ourselves, Duncan loses himself to dance when he gets in his "element" but he sure has spirit, doesn't he?
I just rewrote the text a bit to clarify that I am his trainer, I started in theater as a performer before moving to the back-stage technical side and later to television and in the arts I have made valuable and life long friendships with many lovely people who are LGBTQ, theater is an inclusive place where we all depend on one another to make a production go just right and is therefore a safe space for all involved with it but the world away from the stage can be cruel. I saw that early on and try to educate who I can to be understanding. Life is too short.
