Doctor Seymour Holtzman, a brilliant physicists, had for years attempted to perfect teleportation via sustainable black hole-like portals using dark matter. While the goal was ambitious Holtzman's expedience did not compensate for the expenses such an undertaking would cost. Spending so much of his university's funding took a toll, the dean and heads of the science board shutting down his experiments before he could finish. In desperation, Holtzman broke into the labs one night attempting to finalize what he expected to be a major breakthrough.

The result was life changing to say the least.

Wearing his experiment dimensional travel suit, Dr. Holtzman finally created a sustainable portal and jumped into it as university security arrived to arrest him. The portal closed and Holtzman was trapped in another dimension where thousands of doorways and portals floated about in a void-like space. Unaware of their full nature he was exposed to the dimension's radiation, fusing his suit to his body while attracting smaller portals onto it's surface. The resulting mutation created a new being, Holtzman taking over a year to understand the true capabilities of the portals and the dimension from which he hoped to escape.

After finally returning to the real wold Holtzman, forever changed, thought this unexpected, almost horrific event, was instead a milestone in his research. Declared dead by the public and knowing none would agree to his experiments, there was only one way to gain the money he needed: take it. And in the name of science, such crimes could be forgiven. Thus was born a new criminal in to the world, one the papers had come to call Blind-Spot!

Note: this character was inspired by one of Spider-Man's lesser-known villains, the Spot. Feel free to google lol
