Another of our old commissions, for Calvin of his white jackal character, Vedova. The character design was fun to work with, especially with the striking facial markings accenting the eyes. Another bonus on this commission was the fun background idea I got to work with - an ancient temple lit by torches and votive candles floating in a massive reflecting pool. Although it was a good effort for the time, looking back I keep on seeing different ways to improve… More detail in the temple, more atmospheric lighting, etc, etc.
I do like how the pose came out though - if anyone ever asks you a question and then strikes this pose, you do not want to tell them ‘no’.

Oh my god, this amazing! Even though I do agree that temple could have used a little more detail, but even then, as it is now, it is far better than I could currently pull off.
It's a beautiful piece and to me has a kind of ambience that is calm l, yet still dangerous.
