Dragon Quest POV: The Gigantes
A Gigantes draws near! Wait.. This one is friendly, and he seems to be offering you something. Do you accept?
Been on a fanart mood lately, and Dragon Quest seemed like a promising franchise.
I've only ever played the original Dragon Warrior for the NES and crapped out after a while, but as I grew up and heard more about it, I found out there are quite a lot of nice, attractive monsters to make fanart of, which of course drew me in. This is one of them, a Gigantes.
I don't usually draw perspective shots like these, so this was mostly an attempt to get out of that comfort zone and learn how to utilize more angles, like a true artist. The idea was that I'd draw a low-angle POV, but I thought a situation where you're up close and personal to a literal giant would be much interesting, resulting in this.
Dragon Quest belongs to Square Enix, while the art is of course, mine. By the way, did you know that the original artist for Dragon Quest is Akira Toriyama, best known for Dragon Ball Z? It's almost like they made that decision intentionally.
