OMG, STUNNING! That's what this is. Done by Heather Theurer, who doesn't often do sketch commissions, but she must've been happy I fawned over her storm dragon so much. It's way better than I expected. Oh, and if you're thinking right now, "That's no sketch. That's a SPACE STATION", that's what I was thinking. Such incredible effects and detail for a "sketch", I had to ask her wtf and htf she made this. She did confess she went overboard a bit beyond a regular sketch, 'cause she was enjoying it so much, but here's what you're looking at:

I used colored canson paper, sketched it in lightly with pencil, went over it with ink, lit it up with white watercolor pencil (don't get it wet!), then threw in the darker shades with chartpack markers.

Rooth looks a little like a vulture in this pic, doesn't he? Weird, but cool, makes the piece more interesting. Guess that's the desert influence. :)
