Melody for me, seems like the forgotten princess and the rebel in every girl that is forced to be prim and proper or feminine. I loved her character and her design, but she was soooo under rated and I just... Had to do MerMay 2021; and include her this time. Since a lot of everyone that I've seen associate mermaids with Melody's famous mother, Ariel.

I hope you enjoy this piece as much I had finishing it, this, Melody has been my therapy- well this piece, has been very therapeutic and she got me through so so much turmoil and trauma that I am so thankful that I got to 'finish' a painting.

My problem that I am working on with my therapist is
'Finishing' something, starting and FINISHING something.
The problem lies, not the fact that I start it - but I want it to be so perfect and what I imagine it in my head that I almost paralyze myself and feel unable to even start or finish something because the non-perfection side of my brain makes me feel inadequate. I know that many might not understand the concept, just know that I am getting hope and hopefully this picture if my beacon of HOPE that I will be posting more finished art soon.
