The universe that the Gobs, and various other beings, live in is one that exists surrounding a massive universal tree known as the Cosmos tree. The very tree itself grew from a seed left behind by a previous dying universe. It was nurtured and cared for by one who simply became known as ‘The Gardener’.

Countless galaxies exist attached to its many branches, as well as surrounding the tree itself. The Tree provides the essence of life that allows every living thing within its universe to exist. In addition to this, every thought and action made by each living being produces energy that is absorbed back into the tree. In addition to this, once a being dies, they return to The Tree, where their soul is recycled and sent back into the ‘living realm’ to be reborn.

The Tree also possesses sapience, and is capable of forging connections to others based around various circumstances. It cares for all beings, as it feels they are its children. It was through a connection with The Tree that The Supreme Gob gained his powers that allowed him to rise up against the Darvens.
