This is a self published book project created by darkflamewolf where I was tasked to illustrate their book series "Legend of Ahya" covers. It was a challenging experience but it's definately taught me a lot on book illustration and concepts overall. I cannot wait to do the rest of the series!! AND YOU ALL SHOULD READ IT TOO!!!!!!

Author's Notes - Legend of Ahya: Target of Interest has a unique entity in it that is monstrous and terrifying. Without spoiling too much what it can do, it is feared by all who encounter it in the book. This thing is seemingly machine in nature, but what it does is devestating. Its role in the story isn't the focus or center of the plot for the first novel in the series, but it makes a huge impression whenever it is on the page. It dominates the action and forces all characters to react to it. So the artist felt it pertinent to give focus on this thing and probably even design a vision of it according to their mind's eye when they read the story. I gave her free reign to visualize it and went with whatever she came up with based on the text. I think they did a fantastic job as it looks on a city unsuspecting. Fun sidequest: Can you find the hidden Ruolina signature in the image?
