"As hard as a diamond? Well, that's certainly one way to describe me- both metaphorically and literally to a degree." -Drega when questioned about her name.
Drega Diamondclaw is an oddity among her clan. At birth, she had remarkable diamond-blue eyes, whereas many gnolls usually are born with black or brown-colored eyes. Some saw this as an ill-omen, as the essence of change is often regarded nervously among the gnollish clans. However Drega aged and grew to be a fantastic archer, contributing to her people as a ranged fighter and as a bringer of food alike. As it turns out, her unique eyes afforded her with an odd sense of impressive accuracy and vision, something that not many gnolls excel at. When her impressive feats as an archer began to spread, some speculated that the gentle blue color of her eyes is the mark of Karana- the god of storms. A patron god to many rangers and hunters alike. Some among the clan, Grala included, believe she was touched and marked at birth by Karana, giving her the superb archery skills that many of her clan lack. However, 'god-touched' or otherwise, it doesn't make Drega invincible. When Direwind invaders stormed the burrow in her adolescent years, her claws were sadistically torn and ripped off her very fingers in the middle of battle. Thankfully, Drega survived the attack, her life saved by Grala Stormtail, the Arch Wizard of the clan. In the aftermath of the attack, Grala made the decision to fuse clear and neatly-cut diamonds to replace Drega's lost claws, giving her the name of 'Diamondclaw' to fit this new likeliness. With claws of diamond and eyes as clear as the cloudless blue sky, Drega continues to proudly serve her clan, and is forever grateful to Grala for saving and changing her life forever. Drega even looks up to Grala as a mother-figure. How sweet!
I wanted to do something 'different' for a change, and I was wracked my mind on how I could do that. I think I nailed it a bit perfectly if I say so myself. Another model I am very proud of! Leave a fav and a watch if you liked, and stay tuned!
