Pretty much all birds can see ultraviolet light! This means that a lot of them also have hidden patterns that are only visible under a black light to our eyes, plus fluorescent feathers, like the yellow heads of green parakeets.
My oc Morianten is partly based on some kingfishers and has a couple extra features from some tropical birds, like the longer streamer feathers on his tail and the golden display fan on his back.
Normally I don't post unclothed characters anywhere but my patreon, but Morianten does have a lot of feathers, so he's still quite well covered haha. I do keep him pretty humanoid in appearance, but I like to draw him with some slightly more birdish features too, such as his feet and hands having two fused digits just like most kingfisher feet!
