I wonder what the armor parts and helmet are made of? I assume the black undersuit is spandex.

They were made with a type of foam (cant remember what the name of it was), and then covered with metallic spandex. The undersuit is indeed spandex.

Also, is the helmet and visor removable?

Visor is removable. Helmet is a stand alone part. The face actually is in two parts. The upper part of the face attaches to the helmet, the lower jaw is secured with straps sort of that secure it in place...bit hard to explain though.

Mostly there are clips that are hidden that attach to the undersuit (which have clips attached to it) so that it all stays in place.
